Coming in June, two back-to-back virtual workshops will delve into important and timely issues around the security and accessibility of information technology, data and learning materials in the California Community Colleges (CCC).
The CCC Information Security & Accessibility Workshops are presented each winter and summer to offer effective strategies and practices for maintaining data and network security and ensuring that electronic learning materials are provided in a format that is accessible to all students and members of the campus community. Sessions span a wide range of topics, from laws that inform district policy-making, to tools and how-to sessions that address specific needs.
On Monday, June 14, information security will be the focus, presented by the CCC Information Security Center. Accessibility takes the spotlight on Tuesday, June 15, presented by the CCC Accessibility Center.
Workshop content is geared toward practitioners who oversee or come into contact with IT systems, student and college data or electronic information, including but not limited to:
- IT administrators, managers and specialists
- IT procurement
- Public information officials
- Disability services directors and staff
- Faculty training and support
- Accessibility specialists
The workshops are open to all CCC personnel and free to attend. For details and to register, visit the Summer 2021 Virtual Workshops event site.
