Due to a recent rise in ransomware attacks on higher education institutions, the California Community Colleges (CCC) Chancellor’s Office and the CCC Information Security Center delivered an October webinar where information security experts reviewed the current methods of ransomware attacks and the best practices for defending the college and district.
Advances in technology are enabling faculty to better engage their students and create a richer learning environment that leads to a more satisfactory experience. A great example of this type of technology is PlayPosit 3.0, which allows instructors to optimize video content from TechConnect or other video platforms.

The California Community Colleges (CCC) Information Security & Accessibility Winter Workshops, being held on January 11-12, 2021, allow the CCC Information Security Center and CCC Accessibility Center to connect with faculty and staff to offer effective strategies and practices for maintaining the security of student and college data.
