CCC TechConnect Solutions Available to Students, Faculty and Staff to Enhance Teaching and Learning

Serving all 115 California Community Colleges, CCC TechConnect provides a coordinated platform of technology products, services, trainings and support for advancing the educational success of the system’s more than 2.1 million students. Based at Palomar College and funded by the Chancellor’s Office Digital Infrastructure and Innovation Division, TechConnect oversees the 3C Media Solutions service, ConferZoom, and the annual Online Teaching Conference.

Video on Demand via 3C Media Solutions

TechConnect’s 3C Media Solutions service provides a multifunctional and scalable video on demand media warehouse offering unlimited storage space, access and tools for students, faculty and staff systemwide. The warehouse currently hosts more than 85,000 videos predominantly for instruction, contributing to student success. CCC faculty and staff are provided their own accounts and have the ability to upload, organize and edit files via the 3C Media Solutions website or from within their Canvas accounts.

E-conferencing through ConferZoom

ConferZoom, the systemwide e-conferencing solution, provides students, faculty and staff access to online courses, lectures, office hours and other essential educational services. This connection ensures a direct path for students to continue learning while receiving the same support services available to on-campus students. In addition to accessing live sessions, through ConferZoom instructors can provide students lecture recordings and other course related videos and documents. ConferZoom is also integrated and available for use from within Canvas.

Knowledge Sharing at the Online Teaching Conference

The Online Teaching Conference (OTC) is happening NOW in Anaheim! Now in its 19th year, the OTC is an annual in-person gathering taking place June 17-19 for faculty, staff, and administrators focused on curriculum, pedagogy and technology to improve online instruction, learning and student success. Select conference session recordings will be available for free and accessible from anywhere; see the conference program for sessions labeled “watch now.”
