The California Community Colleges’ Online Education Initiative (OEI) course finder continues to yield strong results. Nearly 900 students completed an application and enrolled in a course between May and September.
Digital marketing efforts targeted Californians living more than 60 minutes from a college campus. Between May 21 and September 7, 2018, 867 students completed an enrollment application and enrolled in at least one course.
Data indicate the majority of users searched for classes to complete transfer requirements, while others sought to complete general education requirements for their associate’s or bachelor’s degree. The most in-demand classes included math/quantitative reasoning, English, and oral communication.
The Finish Faster Online course finder is now available on the redesigned California Virtual Campus (CVC) website, www.cvc.edu. Users may also browse online Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) listings, and CVC now includes links to several online support tools, including counseling, tutoring, readiness, and proctoring.
