Empowering California Campuses: Unlock Up to $60,000 to Advance Student Success with Program Pathways Mapper

The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office is thrilled to announce a stellar opportunity for all public higher education institutions in California: up to $60,000 in grant funding per school to support colleges in implementing or sustaining the Program Pathways Mapper (PPM)–an intuitive, online tool that clarifies pathways to degree completion and enables students to achieve their academic goals.

The PPM tool has already been successfully adopted by 58 California Community colleges, 6 California State Universities, and 1 University of California school, providing critical support for student success while aligning with state-wide initiatives like Vision 2030 and Guided Pathways. With this available funding, colleges enhance their ability to boost transfer rates, reduce excess unit accumulation, and promote equitable and efficient degree completion.

Who is Eligible?

This grant opportunity offers two tailored options to meet the unique needs of California public higher education institutions:

  1. For Colleges New to PPM: Funding is available to support the onboarding and implementation of PPM
  2. For Colleges Already Using PPM: Funding is also available to enhance sustainability efforts at your campus

Why Choose PPM?

PPM goes beyond being just software–it’s a leading solution for:

  • Providing all students–prospective, current, and returning–faculty, and community members with clear, accessible information about degree, transfer, and career pathways.
  • Enhancing educational transparency and equity by clearly mapping term-by-term course sequences and offering early career-planning information.
  • Supporting statewide goals like closing equity gaps and improving student outcomes.

Unlike traditional systems, PPM requires no login, ensuring information is readily available to everyone–from students to faculty and beyond!

Simple Steps to Apply

Applying for the grant is straightforward and collaborative:

  1. Complete the PPM Inquiry Form to express your institution’s interest.
  2. Meet with the PPM team to learn about the tool’s features and benefits.
